Disadvantaged Women and Children Committee:

 

PURPOSE: To increase communityu awareness of the needs of disadvantaged women and children, the work Quota performs in this area, and to distribute grants relating to disadvantaged women and children.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Seek out and review all request for donations relating to disadvantaged women and children.  Analyze and submit to Quota International of Fairbanks Trust for qualifying 501 c3 dtermination prior to submitting to the Board and General Membership for approval using Request for Funding Evaluation and Selection Form.  The General Membership has final voting approval on Disadvantaged Women and Children contributions over $200.
  2. Respond to all received proposals withink 30 days by acknowledging receipt.
  3. All proposals must be approved by April general membership meeting and all donations must be made prior to May 15 (fiscal year ends April 30).
  4. Have a committee member in charge of advertising.  Advertise all events and contributions made.
  5. Increase awarness of the availablity of Quota grants for disadvantaged women and children.
  6. Have a donation agreement signed by the recipient/ recipient representative for all contributions.
  7. Provide President annual report at the May meeting.  Include important data sample forms, accounting, and any recommendations for next year's chair.  A copy will be added to the committee notebook.
